Next Sunday, January 9th the church celebrates the Baptism of the Lord.
This feast marks the liturgical conclusion of the Christmas Season and it will be time to pack – up our Christmas decors. We will need your help on SATURDAY, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. to “un-decorate” the church and prepare it for the big feast of the Sto. Niño. Remember that “Many hands make light work.” If you can lend a hand, it will be deeply appreciated…even a few minutes would help.
Mark the date- January 19 Saturday. THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!!

YOUR NEWS BULLETIN
We are always finding ways to refresh, revamp and revitalize the FCMM NEWS BULLETIN. We are alive and growing and it is ever more important now to make sure that we communicate best through the lines of common experience; the Good News is heard; and others are invited to join our vibrant community. We are committed to provide you with important information about our ministries and programs and help you find out when things are happening, and whom to contact, as well as give general information.
We thank all those who paid for advertisements at the back of this publication. You make our bulletin possible. Thank you for your support. And to our readers, please continue to patronize the advertised products or services our members offer you. It would be good to mention that you read their ads in our Sunday Bulletin.
All articles, announcements and features you wish to be printed can be submitted to the FCMM Office a week in advance or e-mail the editor at jhnaracena@gmail.com. E-mailed articles should be done in Microsoft Word or Publisher. If you submit an article via e-mail, you should receive a confirmation e-mail. If you do not receive such confirmation, please contact the FCMM Office by phone( 514-387 5292)
Any article can run for three consecutive weeks or two consecutive weeks, take a week break, then another two consecutive weeks. If the article is revised and resubmitted, it will be treated as a new article. All articles are subject to editing and will be published at the discretion of the Pastor. No guarantees can be made as to the size or placement of the article.
Articles are normally due the Wednesday (5:00 p.m.) before the Sunday that you want your article to appear. THANKS !
Last year, The FCMM BENEFACTORS’ PLEDGE
CAMPAIGN reached $ 30, 545.00 THANK YOU to all our generous Benefactors and solicitors ! We will up-date you with the changes on this campaign as soon as things have been finalized.
Again for the year 2010, the FCMM received
the amount of $ 1,450. 05 (REBATES) from FUNDSCRIPT - The GIFT and SHOPPING CARD PROGRAM which you patronized. Please think about continuously supporting this Program. Every time you purchase a $25.00 shopping card for IGA, METRO, PROVIGO or a $ 25.00 gasoline card for ESSO or ULTRAMAR you donate $1.25 to the parish. It doesn’t seem like much, but if your family purchased only one $25.00 card each week, you would increase your annual generosity to the FCMM by $65.00. Something to think about, isn’t it? Cards are available after the Sunday Mass each week-end. Please see Ms. Marites Quirapas or come to the FCMM Office.
Please find attached an e-mail that I would appreciated having distributed to your membership. Thank you very much for your continuous support!
Respectfully,
Kevin
NEW ALTAR SERVERS NEEDED !!! THINK ABOUT IT !
To be an Altar Server is to help the Priest at the Altar to make the Mass proceed smoothly. This is a wonderfully special way for a child or adult to participate in their faith and grow in their love of God. They also can feel more a part of the parish faith community in a way that is very meaningful and important.
To be eligible to be an Altar Server, all that is required is that you must have made your First Eucharist. So people of all ages are welcome. We are actively seeking servers of all ages. Let's remember, we are trying to be a Generations Of Faith parish. We are committed to providing an absolutely safe and nurturing environment for our children. The next Altar Servers information/training meeting will be announced soon. In the meantime, if you are interested, write your name address, and phone number on a piece of paper and give it to Rocky Unabia after our Sunday liturgies or to Ohda Foz . We need you ! THANKS !
ST. MARTHA’S CLUB NEEDS SOME MORE HANDS !!!
What in the world would make you feel so good? We are currently in need of a few good souls who would love to serve as behind-the-scenes men and women of the St. Martha’s Club whose main concern is the service to the Lord in the care and beautification of the altar. Performing assigned tasks like sewing, washing and ironing of vestments and altar linens; keeping the altar clean and beautiful at all times; arranging flowers and preparing the materials needed for the mass , the Martha’s are dedicated hands who do the important little details to make our celebrations smooth, meaningful and beautiful.
Dedicated men, women, youth, adults (couples are also welcome)…
who are willing to share their valuable time to take care of the altar and serve Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament are welcome to join this organization.
There will be a formal training session to be announced soon. Meanwhile, think about it and if you have decided please give your name, address and phone number to Mrs. Lorie Palisoc or to Butch Aracena. THANKS !
St. Augustine is famous for saying “those who sing, pray twice.” To further augment that quote: ‘singing in the FCMM Choirs is twice as nice!’ We have 3 Choirs in the FCMM. Why not consider joining THE FCMM ADULT CHOIR. THE BAGONG HIMIG CHOIR or THE FCMM YOUTH CHOIR. Each group has its own rehearsal schedule. You do not need a great voice to sing in the choirs. The Choirs’ mission is to make beautiful and meaningful music with one voice! If you enjoy singing and think you might like to be a part of this Ministry, please speak to TITA ALLANA, PRECY PAVICO, or JOWEN SOGUILON. Thank you !

Lectors Needed
Have you thought about how to tell other people about your belief in Jesus
and what it means to you?
Do you enjoy reading aloud? Are you interested in public speaking?
Not sure you'd be a good Lector? Or that you know enough about Scripture?
Or how to speak in front of an audience?
If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions you may be a candidate for the Lectors’ and Commentators’ Ministry at the FCMM. We need children, youth, and adult men and women as lectors for the weekday and weekend liturgies.
We provide a Lector Training Program for all those interested in joining this ministry. You'll learn how to become an effective public speaker as well as how to improve your understanding of the Scriptures.
To register for the next Training Program for New Lectors’ Session at the FCMM, please contact Mr. Pedro Diaz, Jr. THANKS !

Message from the Fraternal CounsellorTuesday, February 15, 2011 12:14 PM
Hello everyone! Please check your availability for the Eucharistic Schedule for the month of April and there will be a liturgical seminar about " The Sunday Mass We Love" to be presented by Fr. Donald Bouchard on March 27th (Sunday) at 9:30 in the morning and everyone is invited specially the worship committee. Thank you and God Bless to each and everyone.
Hi there! This is the revised schedule for the Eucharistic Ministers for the month of June and please be advise that there will be a seminar to be held on June 25 at 1:00 PM (FCMM ) including the new comers and in the following day which is the Corpus Christi Sunday will be the renewal of vows. Your willingness to serve as a Eucharistic Minister, reflects not only response to your Baptismal call to serve the people of God, but a commitment to Christ as you share in the teaching and leading aspects of the church. You offer the Eucharist and ultimately you act as the Body of Christ by fully participating in the life of the parish and to the community. Your willingness to commit to a monthly schedule, to prepare properly for your service and to arrive on time dressed appropriately for your assigned Mass, further reflects that commitment. I hope to see you there and participate with this seminar. Thank you and God bless.

Hi Bro. Narcing. I'm not sure if you were at the church this morning because I have called a special meeting on sunday, july 10, at 10 a.m. To discuss the upcoming district picnic. At the same time, Fr.Frank is also asking the council's help on saturday, july 9 at 8:30 am to do some physical work on the church's ground. So kindly distribute this message out to our members. Thanks and God Bless.

Dear Sir Grand Knight Ray Foz:
Thanks for taking my call yesterday. I spoke with SGK Nelson Alvaro of council 14315 and he asked me if we could wait until next week to have the meeting. I realize that this will be the long Labour Day holiday weekend, but would Thursday, September 1 or Friday, September 2, be possible to hold a meeting at Our Lady of the Philippines. The time would probably be 6:00 or 7:00pm. Please advise.
Also, the monthly DD report indicates that council 13585 has not as yet submitted its service program personnel report for 2011-2012. I have attached a blank copy for your possible use. Please send it in as soon as possible. Thanks for your cooperation.
Also, congratulations on your Double Star award as published in the August issue of Knightline. As of August 1, 2011, council 13585 is the only council in Québec to achieve this distinction.
Sincerely yours,
Boris Polanski

Please advise all officers of your respective councils that they are eligible to attend. I hope to see a good turnout at the meeting.
Also, please have your cheques, payable to C de C Region 07 Montréal, ready at the meeting. The fees are $100.00 for councils and $25.00 for assemblies and cover the telephone directory and regional congress. I must collect these and turn them over to the region as soon as possible. Dear Sir Knights:
As per our discussions at the meeting last night, attached please find the form for reporting the family of the month and the artwork for the prayer for peace cards.
The family of the month forms must be sent to the supreme and state councils as well as the regional coordinator, Yves Labrecque (davilab@videotron.ca). You can also send or give me the forms and I will forward them accordingly.
The prayer for peace cards are designed to be printed 4-up on an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of thin cardboard. Finally, I think that 13585 grand knight SK Ray Foz had an excellent idea about the councils all celebrating the Mass at the same time in their respective churches. So even though we won't be together in person, we'll be together in spirit. Good luck with persuading your respective chaplains to participate in this event.
Hi Bro. Can you please help me spread this message to our members. Thanks.
Dear Brother Knights. Peace to all. I would like to appeal once again for your generous
time to commit and come at the church this coming Saturday - September 17 between
9 am and 4 pm. As you may well know, a good number of volunteers would be needed
this time around. Please understand that a good amount of money will be spent to cover
the rental of the materials needed (hydraulic machines, scafolding etc.) for this purpose
and it would be a total setback for the church's finances if no one would come and help us.
I know for a fact that most of us are pretty occupied and some of us might want to extend and
enjoy the remaining summer days but I ask you, my Brother Knights - this is what our organization
is all about - charity. Not necessarily in kind but of our time...I would need you to reply to this e-mail
and confirm your presence.
I would also like to remind everyone that our council meeting for the month of September will be on
Sunday, Sept. 18 at 9:15 am. Thanks very much and hope to see you Saturday - rain or shine.
Viva Jesus.
Yours truly,
Bro. Ray Foz

Ms. Maria Teresa Ambayec were elected as Administrators to serve our community for the next three (3) years. We extend our gratitude to Mr. Eduardo Ruiz and Mr. Felix Cambaliza, the other nominees, for their desire and interest to serve the community. The names of the two elected Administrators will now be submitted to the Cardinal for his approval. They begin their own terms January 1, 2012. CONGRATULATIONS to Tess and Jun !
